The Feast of the Transfiguration of Christ in the Heart of the Mountains

It was filled with light and joy, with local believers and diaspora members coming together to celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration of Christ at the church of this ancient region, part of the Parish of Peja.
Radio Maria Kosovo broadcasted the Holy Mass live, celebrated by Father Agim Qerkini, parish priest at the “St. Mother Teresa” Sanctuary in Prishtina, concelebrated with Father Lenc Sopi, parish priest of Famullia “Shën Katarina V.M” Pejë, Dom Franë Sopin, Dom Pashk Danin dhe Dom Shtjefen Dodes, program director at RMK.
The joy of this feast was further enhanced by the celebration of the baptism of the couple Isak & Tana Nikqi, who, in the presence of the community and the Church, entered a new life with Christ, witnessing a new spiritual turning point and great hope for their family.
After the Mass, the churchyard transformed into a festive scene, where traditional Rugova attire and Albanian national dances brought the sounds and colors of our heritage to life in an atmosphere of joy and fellowship.
On this blessed day, believers from various parishes of Kosovo and diaspora members who came specifically for this event became one body and one heart in prayer, celebration, and festivity.
