Today in Peja, the joint meeting of the Management Board and Commission Presidents (MB & CP Meeting) is taking place, organized by the UIAA – International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (Union Internationale des Associations d’Alpinisme
This meeting is part of the UIAA General Assembly 2025, which is being held from 22 to 26 October in Kosovo, bringing together leaders and experts from around the world to discuss development, safety, and international cooperation in the field of mountaineering and sport climbing
The Kosovo Federation of Mountaineering and Sport Climbing (FBNSK) marks a historic moment by hosting for the first time in Kosovo an event of this level – the General Assembly of the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA).
This is the first time that a top-level international federation in the field of sport and mountaineering holds its annual assembly in the Republic of Kosovo – a major achievement for sport, mountain tourism, and the country’s international representation.






At this event, the piece ‘Ex Alpes’ by Memli Kelmendi was performed, accompanied by Fidan Strumcaku on drums, Olta Kurtaj on frame drum, and Arbana Lushaj on vocals, creating an atmosphere that blended the sounds of the mountains with traditional Albanian rhythms. Additionally, ‘Ukuthula’ was performed by Klea Dina, as well as ‘Kaba’, interpreted by the renowned clarinetist Sead Muqa, bringing to the stage the warmth and spirit of Albanian music.
Also present at this meeting was AFA Rugova, which performed several traditional dance pieces
