Trainings with Lower Secondary School Students at “Asdreni” in Peja

The Autokton Folklore Ensemble “Rugova” continues its commitment to promoting, preserving, and developing Albanian cultural heritage through educational and artistic activities with young people. On September 15, 2025, in the premises of the “Asdreni” high school in Peja, a special training session was held with the students of this school, focused on dances, rituals, and fundamental elements of our folk tradition.
During this activity, the choreographers and instructors of AFA Rugova worked with the students on:
• the technique of traditional dance steps;
• maintaining rhythm and synchronization in dancing
• understanding the symbols of traditional folk costumes;
• the importance of folkloric art in national identity.
The students had the opportunity to learn closely about elements of our autochthonous culture and to gain practical experience in performance, stage discipline, and teamwork. The atmosphere created was collaborative, energetic, and filled with respect for tradition.
The AFA Rugova Ensemble thanks the leadership of the “Asdreni” school, the teachers, students, and parents for their understanding and cooperation. This activity is just one of many projects aimed at the cultural education of young people and the continuation of our mission to pass on the values of Albanian folklore to the new generations.
