The “Rugova 2025” Traditional Games concluded, medals awarded to the participants.
In the village of Bogë in Rugova, Peja Municipality, today there are the Rugova Traditional Games, “Rugova 2025,” were held.
In these games, which have been organized for over 30 years, strength, skill, and wisdom are displayed among the participants.
The competitors participated in the following disciplines: arm wrestling, spear throwing, stone throwing, tug of war, climbing the pole, etc. The event was also accompanied by an artistic program.
The opening of these games was also attended by the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, along with a government delegation, as well as the Mayor of Peja Municipality, Gazmend Muhaxheri.
Kurti said that in these games, where strength, skill, and wisdom are displayed, generations come together precisely to pass on not only the values of the Kelmendi tribe and the Rugova community, but also the spirit of the community that has preserved this tradition for decades.
The games have now concluded, and medals have also been awarded to the participants.
