OHTK marks World Tourism Day
At the "Dukagjini" Hotel in Peja, the Kosovo Chamber of Hospitality and Tourism, in the continuation of activities to mark World Tourism Day, held a roundtable on the topic "Tourism and Peace".
Under the rhythms of the magnificent Rugova dance by the "Rugova" Indigenous Ensemble, the ceremony to mark World Tourism Day began.
The ceremony was opened by Mr. Arbër Krasniqi, head of the OHTK Regional Unit in Peja.
Mayor Krasniqi, thanking the participants, emphasized that tourism is a main pillar of the economic development of our country.
In this activity to mark World Tourism Day, valuable contributions were made by Hysen V. Sogojeva – Chairman of OHTK, Fehmi Fetahu Chairman of OHTK for Diaspora, Kastriot Noli representative of the Albanian Embassy in Kosovo, Elldin Uglari Deputy Minister of Regional Development, representatives of the University "Haxhi Zeka" Dr. Alberta Tahiri and Dr. Bedri Millaku, Kushtrim Dreshaj representative of UBT, Ms. Teuta Kryeziu - representative of IAAP "Ali Hadri" Peja, Sutki Hulaj representative of the Municipality of Deçan, representative of the Municipality of Junik Jetmir Jasiqi, Ferdinand Kolaj representative of the Municipality of Gjakova and Ilir Berisha representative of the Kosovo Agency of Statistics.
The Executive Director of OHTK Sadik Gashi, the Speaker of the Assembly Armend Delijaj, the Deputy Speaker Arlinda Shoshi, the Speakers of Regional Units Lulzim Sylejmani, Aferdita Hoxha, Labinot Ademi, Valdete Hyseni, Adem Kastrati, Albana Morina, coordinator Eglantina Nikçi, ASK representatives Bekim Bojku Acting Head of the Division of Statistics, Mergime Shala Tourism Statistics Officer, Head of the Regional Office of ASK in Peja Enver Kelmendi, representative of the "Mother Teresa" Association Mirlinda Shala, Blerim Krasniqi and Islam Rraci and Visar Berdynaj members of the leadership of the Chamber in Peja, Fatjona Rugova representative of ONIX Thermal, Elvane Gojani and Ruke Ramaja representatives of the school SHME “Kadri Kusari” Gjakova official website, as well as representatives from central and local institutions as well as representatives of OHTK member entities.
Mayor Sogojeva greeted and thanked all those present for their participation and the contribution they are making to the development of tourism.
In the thematic part, special emphasis was placed on the paths that should be followed for the development of tourism and, along with it, the promotion of peace.
At the end of the ceremony, OHTK expressed gratitude to ONIX SPA Thermal Resort, Hotel Dukagjini, Restaurant Univers Peje, the Municipality of Peja, the Municipality of Deçan and for Zip Line Marimangat for their contribution to the development of tourism.
OHTK thanks everyone for their contribution to making this day a grand one, with special emphasis on the Municipality of Peja and Mayor Gazmend Muhaxheri for their financial support.
