The Songs and Dances Ensemble \u201cDrenica\u201d from Skenderaj was declared the winner of the 23rd edition of the Folkloric Festival \u201cWe Sing to Freedom\u201d by the professional jury. The festival was held in Klin\u00eb over the course of three consecutive nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second place was awarded to the Authentic Folkloric Ensemble \u201cRugova,\u201d while the third place went to SHKA \u201cMal\u00ebsori\u201d from Gjonaj of Has. These three awards were presented by the Mayor of the Municipality of Klin\u00eb, Prof. Dr. Zenun Elezaj, and Halil Krasniqi, the father of the heroes Muj\u00eb and Ali Krasniqi.\n\nThe Audience Award was won by the group \u201cFeniks\u201d from Switzerland.\n\nAdditionally, the festival\u2019s professional jury\u2014consisting of Prof. Xhevdet Gashi, Prof. Suzana Drenica (choreographer), and Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Jakupi (musicologist)\u2014presented 12 other awards, including Best Overall Group, Festival Veteran, Best Costume, and more.\n\nXhevdet Gashi, the head of the jury, stated that this day is a folkloric celebration, a gift of our rich folkloric tradition. The differences between the artistic groups performing on stage were very small.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third night featured performances of high artistic value. The \u201cKastriot\u00ebt\u201d group from Ferizaj delivered a complete and well-rounded presentation. The group from Shkup performed songs from the Shkup region, while the rhapsodists Naim and Sali Byty\u00e7i were met with applause and received the award for Best Duet.\n\nThe \u201cBesa\u201d group from Shkodra was warmly applauded for the song \u201cMir\u00eb se t\u2019gjeta mori Klin\u00eb,\u201d as were the Men\u2019s Group of Mirdita. The polyphonic group from Tirana was well-received for their high-level interpretation of polyphonic songs. \u201cShot\u00eb Galica\u201d from Drenica performed at their usual high standard. Meanwhile, the AKV \u201cAnamorava\u201d from Vitia stood out for the dances performed by its young women. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
